they're very similar. U2 inspired Coldplay, and Brian Eno worked on "The Joshua Tree" (U2, 1987) and "Viva la Vida"(Coldplay, 2008). Who do you think is better?

I personally like coldplay, there music is better. au2 MEH IS OKAY.

I'm not a huge fan of either of them, but I listen to Coldplay more than U2. I'm not a die-hard fan of either of them, and I only like a song or two from both groups.

yep i second that. but Coldplay does have some some awesome songs like Clocks and Viva la Vida
