For real though, I can finally die happy.

I've been throwing the biggest fit about us not getting this game for more than two years now. I've signed petitions, I've wrote to Sega (more than once), always to just the whole "Thanks for showing interest in our game, but unfortunately there are no plans to release that title at this time."

But now, finally, we will be seeing a proper localization of Yakuza 5 as a digital release on PSN thanks to Sony and Sega teaming up for the release. While I'm more of a hard copy man myself, you won't find me complaining at all about the digital-only release, I'm just happy we can finally have what looks to be one of the greatest Yakuza games to date.

If the Yakuza fanbase pulls through (which they usually do), perhaps we will get to see the release of Yakuza 0 or Ishin in the future. For now, let's just bask in this (huge) victory though.

I've never actually played a Yakuza game on my own before, but I will be supporting this. I wish they would have brought 1 + 2 HD over just to make my attempts at following this series easier but this was a lot more than I ever expected so I will not complain.

I'll just have to watch on YT.

Time to dive onto Amazon and get my hands on 3, 4 and Dead Souls!

Why does it take 2 years to bring this over, TWO years of waiting for Yakuza fans, come on it can't be that hard to translate or dub or whatever they have to do. This has been out since 2012 In Japan.

Hey just be happy we finally get it I totally gave up hope of this game ever coming overseas.

Found out about this hours ago, still hyped :). I really gave up hope on this game making it outside of Japan, this was...IS...such an awesome surprise! Day One buy, and I'll do what I can to help get other people interested in the series. Thank you for this, Sega and Sony!

It's the best news I've heard in ages...

I wish they would make Yakuza 3 digital. It's hard to find a physical copy.
