When I was re-watching some english trailers I paused one moment to see Sora having oathkeeper and Riku having oblivion during their fight with Xemnas. Is that meant to represent light and darkness acceptance or randomly placed keyblades?

I would say they are randomly placed keyblades. I think Riku was using Way to Dawn on KH2 against Xemnas..

You might be right about the light/darkness thing. I really don't know why they did it. One reason was probably for the transition between Roxas vs. Axel to Sora & Riku vs. Xemnas. It just makes for a good scene. I'm sure there is a better and more logical reason than just that.
